An open letter to my son:
I always envisioned myself being a girl mom, but God knew I could handle the chaos and adventure, so he made me your mom.
One day you’ll be too big for my arms.
One day you won’t want to cuddle until you fall asleep.
One day you won’t want to go for walks with me or hold my hand.
One day you won’t want help with things.
One day you’ll just be too independent and that’s OK.
If I’m being honest, I’m not ready for that “one day”. I am scared, yet excited to watch you grow and navigate through this thing called life.
Even though one day you will grow up into an amazing, caring, smart and loving man, I will cherish and soak in all these moments and you will always be my BABY BOY.
