You always came to my defense.
When I was younger, this meant fighting with Dad for not understanding me and fighting with my high school principal for being a dick.
Now, I can’t really live without your advice; you’re the first one I call with good news, you’re the first one I call with bad news.
You have this incredible prowess for being everything I need – you never judge me, there is nothing out there that is going to provide that unconditional, non-judgmental love that you give me.
It’s everything. You’re literally the magic sparkle glue in my life when everything is falling apart.
You put your life on hold for me.
Growing up, you were rarely “well-behaved”; you were defined by your courage, kindness and decisions to go after the life you wanted to live, instead of restricted by what was was “correct” and expected of you.
You’re this incredible badass superhero, and thanks to you, I have an amazing life.
Growing up, you were always there, teaching me to never sit on the sidelines in hopes that things would just come to me, to never put my life on hold to assist someone else’s idea of who I should be, to be unapologetic about my choices and make my own rules in life.
That was all you mom – I don’t think you realize how much of an impact you had by always being there and putting me first.
You put your dreams on hold for me – and you didn’t let any circumstance get in the way of making sure I was happy.
You’re a superhero mom, you are everything!
