To The Dads Who Make Us Feel Like The Luckiest Daughters, You Deserve All The Gratitude

Although you’re now an adult, there’s no denying that you’re still a total daddy’s girl. From the time you could only hold one of his fingers in your whole hand, til now that you’re all grown up, he’s been there through everything.

Through the ups, the downs, and everything in between he’s been right by your side. It’s safe to say that you’d be nothing without his never-ending support.

Just remember to tell him how much you appreciate him.

Being your biggest fan, no matter what.

Thank him for coaching all of your sports teams or for being the screaming parent on the sideline. No matter if you were the star of the team or got just a few minutes of playing time, he couldn’t have been more proud. 

He always made you feel like you were the greatest. When you got an A on that really hard test, or aced that job interview, you could always count on him to be nothing less than ecstatic. There is no better feeling in the world than hearing how much he brags about you. 

Teaching you the importance of hard work, because it is so important.  

He’s the hardest worker you know, and let’s face it, he’s have taught you to be exactly the same way. He encourages you to always go after whatever you want, and to never settle for anything less. 

You’ve watched him work on countless assignments and projects, and he won’t give up until he finishes. (No matter how long that may take.)

Disagreeing with you so you learn that you don’t know everything.

You listen to him. You may not always agree and see eye to eye, but everything he says leaves you thinking. There is nothing more important than getting support from him. You come out of every disagreement closer. He’s authoritative and persistent, but also patient and kind. 

He will argue with you until the end of the night to get his point across but it will always end with a better understanding of one another. He may be as stubborn as a bull, but he also loves you with all of his heart. Your disagreements always leave you closer than when you started. 

Teaching you to set your standards high and not to accept anything less.

He showed you that nobody will be good enough for his little girl, and lets be real, he set the bar pretty high. He’s been the greatest dad to you and the best husband to your mom. 

You constantly wonder if you could ever find someone as great as him. It makes it difficult, but it has also taught you to never settle for less than you deserve.

Being your best friend through everything.

He has always stuck by your side. You were inseparable when you were a kid, and not much has really changed since you’ve gotten older. People constantly ask how a dad and his adult daughter can still be so close. The answer is simple, you’re the best of friends. 

When everything is wrong in life and you’re left wondering where to turn, you know you can always find consistency and comfort in the arms of your dad. 

Being a great dad, but an even better grandfather.

You didn’t think he could become more compassionate, but seeing him be a grandfather to your kids has made you appreciate him so much more.

You feel incredibly lucky to have had a father like him, and you’re so grateful that your kids will get to cherish him as well. You could never thank him enough for everything he has done for you, and now his grandchildren, too.
