The ability to make them go away, even if only for a second. The ability to remind me that I did something right, something beautiful, something perfect in this world – I created you.

I know that you are growing so fast, and I will one day look back at all the mistakes I have made; finding regret somewhere along the line. I just hope that you know with all of your heart that I genuinely tried with every ounce of my being to ensure your happiness, because you are my everything.

I know that I can’t shelter you from the world forever, and someday, I will have to set you free to discover the world on your own. I can only pray that you will do so with that same wonder in your eyes, and I will have shown you just how valuable you really are.
