Parental Struggles
As every parent knows, some days are just a struggle. People always warn you about the “Terrible Two’s”, but let’s all take a moment to agree that unfortunately, that is bullshit. We have the Unforgivable Ones, Terrible Twos, Tantrum Threes, and let’s not forget about the Forget-about-it Fours. There is no book in the parenting world that can prepare you for “All this fun”, that you can’t explain until you experience it for yourself.
Stress? What Stress? HA
I can assure you that, in the most stressful moments, it is a lot of times less than funny to try and deal with the situation; however, there are also those times where you just shake your head and try not to let your child see you snickering. Parenting is definitely an uphill battle that we as parents fight every single day, but at the end of the battle, house a mess, you can’t help but love those little ones who look so peaceful in their beds.
Bed.. finally!
But what did we go through to get to this point of the night? Here are just some of the reasons that the sweet little angel in his bed threw tantrums this week:
1. I said “Good morning” to him
2. I wouldn’t let him eat the toothpaste
3. He wanted to use my hair straightener and I said no
4. He was hungry and wanted a cheese stick
5. I gave him, said cheese stick
6. I wouldn’t let him touch the dog poop
7. He didn’t want to go in the car- I told him plenty of times that we were not going anywhere
8. Someone ate all his fish crackers- it was him
9. He couldn’t reach his car that was a foot away from his hand
10. I wouldn’t let him wear his Halloween costume to daycare
11. I wouldn’t let him keep the receipt from the gas station
12. His dog was laying in her (the dog) bed
13. I told him he couldn’t use the bathroom brush on his hair
14. I unpeeled his banana
Childhood tantrums are so RELATABLE
As parents, we can all relate to the sometimes difficult times that we have with our children, but lets face it, it is going to happen whether we like it or not. So my best advice is to take a deep breath, laugh about it, and share your favorite tantrum moments in the comments below, so other parents can laugh about your funniest toddler tantrums.
